Community Peace Officers
The Community Peace Officers take care of enforcement of the Alberta Traffic Safety Act and bylaw enforcement, and works closely with the RCMP, Sustainable Resources, Animal Control Officer, and Brand Inspectors.
The Community Standards Bylaw regulates neighbourhood nuisance, safety, and livability issues in the County. It lays out standards for residential areas and for recreational vehicles, and lists the fines associated with violations of the Bylaw. Peace Officers, the Chief Administrative Officer and their designates may carry out inspections and enforcement.

The Noise Control Bylaw regulates noise within the County. It lays out standards for different land uses including, residential, commercial, and industrial areas and lists the decibel limits and fines associated with violations of the Bylaw. Peace Officers, the Chief Administrative Officer and their designates may carry out inspections and enforcement.

The Brazeau County General Traffic Bylaw regulates the use of our highways. Regulations include restrictions on weight and size of vehicles, goods transported, permitting, and pedestrian traffic within the County. It lays out standards for the operation of vehicles, speed limits on County highways, pedestrian traffic, use of bicycles and tricycles, parking, prohibits snow removal onto highways, and lists the fines associated with violations of the Bylaw. Peace Officers, the Chief Administrative Officer and their designates may carry out inspections and enforcement.
